About CT-Genie™ The CT-Genie™ is a U.S. Patent Pending invention that makes the installation of countertops much easier. The CT-Genie™ connects two countertop pieces at the seam and replaces the currently used miter-bolt connection. It sits tight immediately in the cut outs on the underside of countertops and enables the installer to focus on a smooth transition of the countertop surface.
Advantages for the Installer The CT-Genie™ makes installing countertops significantly easier. The CT-Genie™ is designed to sit tight in the cut outs immediately without the risk of the CT-Genie™ falling down. The hard plastic and the teeth-like design on the wings hold the CT-Genie™ in the cut outs.
The installer has both hands free to adjust the countertop pieces. They also don't have to worry about holding the CT-Genie™ in place.
The CT-Genie™ is made out of a hard plastic. This gives the tool additional strength and hold when installed into the cut out. The wings can be pushed together slightly when installed due to their flexibility. Once installed, the wings push against the cut out walls and therefore guarantee a tight fit without falling down.
The CT-Genie™’s tight fit also ensures that the two countertop pieces cannot move when the installer tightens the screw and nut once the seam is smooth. This is a big problem with the currently used miter bolt.
Because the installation is easier it is also quicker and saves time. The installer can use the time gained for detailed quality control.
Additional time for quality control leads to lower number of customer complaints.
Making the installation easier for installers will increase their motivation, lead to less stress and ultimately a happier installer. Advantages for Countertop Manufacturers It makes laminate countertops more attractive vis-à-vis other materials.
Endorsement by installers through word of mouth.
Less complaints and returns.
Competitive advantage over a competitor who doesn’t use the CT-Genie™. Advantages for the Customer Guaranteed smooth surface.
No swelling of the seam over time as water cannot get in between the countertop pieces due to the tight and smooth fit.
No movement of the countertops due to the “overnight effect”. The currently used miter bolts can shift ever so slightly during the tightening process. Due to the high pressure applied, this movement – even if small - may cause the countertop pieces to move again over night. Our CT-Genie™ fits tight into the cut outs and sits in its final position from the beginning. This prevents the countertops from moving again over night and ensures a smooth surface for the customer.
No returns or complaints = happy customer. CT-Genie™ Background InfoThe CT-Genie™ was developed by European countertop installers in cooperation with engineers and industry representatives. The tool is patented in Europe and patent pending in the U.S.

This is How it Works:
The carriage bolt gets pushed through one CT-Genie™. The
installer then pushes the wings of the CT-Genie™ together and installs it into the cut out of the countertop. The second CT-Genie™ gets pushed into the cut out on the opposite side.
The carriage bolt gets pushed through the second CT-
Genie™ and is fastened with a nut.
The CT-Genie™ sits tight and cannot move any more or fall out. The installer now has both hands free to focus on a smooth transition of the countertop.
